Mumbai terror suspect Rana's trial set for Feb 14 Read more: Mumbai terror suspect Rana's trial set for Feb 14

CHICAGO: Pakistani-Canadian terror suspect Tahawwur Hussain Rana, co-accused with Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Headley in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks case, will go on trial in a federal court here on Feb 14.

Wearing an orange jumpsuit and leg shackles Rana stood before US District Judge Harry Leinenweber here on Monday as defence and prosecution attorneys hashed out dates and details of the trial, according to Fox News.

Rana, 49, and Pakistani American Headley, who has confessed to his role in the November 2008 attacks that killed 166 people, were indicted Feb 15 for their "roles in India and Denmark Terrorism Conspiracies".

Rana, who has pleaded not guilty, is accused of providing "material support" for the attack. Rana and Headly were also allegedly part of a plot to attack a Danish newspaper that printed a controversial cartoon about prophet Mohammed.

Rana's lawyer Patrick W Blegen told Leinenweber that they haven't yet got all of the transcripts of recorded conversations involving their client.

Many of those recordings need to be translated, so the defence says it needs time to get that done, but will be ready for the February court date.

Blegen told the judge they need to know what evidence the government deems classified. Sensitive material may have to be presented behind closed doors. The judge set another status hearing for Dec 13 to address that.

A bearded and bespectacled Rana calmly glanced around the half empty courtroom as his attorneys spoke, Fox said.

The trial is expected to take a month.

Jago mahadev

Jaho mahadev jago. Ab nahi to kab. Ab nahi jage to maoists delhi tak pahuch jayenge, phir kya karoge. Na sarkar rahegi na home ministry. So many policeman, CRPF's, security forces and others gave their life and many others are giving their life every other day fighting for our country. Their sacrifice seems worthless as government is totall blind folded in this matter. They make some plan and move forward and when anything goes wrong they come back to the initial stage. Any improvement becomes zero. Slowly whole matter goes back stage. When something serious happen again the government again make a new plan and move forward and backward. This game goes on. Mr PC make plans and plans but nothing works. Cant you go on and on and never back down. Cant you set an example like Rajapakse did. He blew off LTTE from tip to top. Cant you do that. How many more sacrifices do you want. Either go for it or leave it if you can't why do you go on mugging in it. Please do something please. I request you to please take action not plan which remains in paper and then to dustbin. So many people and security personnel gave their lives. Don't you want them to rest go peace even after they have sacrificed their life for their country and its people. Maoists are the biggest threat to the nation. It has become the urgent necessity to calm them. Jago ho mahadev. Jagooooooo chidu ji jago. Khud bhi jago auro ko bhi jagao. JAI HIND

SOME BJP LEADERS CAUGHT USING PIRATED CD

"STOP PIRACY" (PLEASE DON'T USE PIRATED CD, DVD, BOOKS etc.) Some Bjp leaders caught watching film "rajneeti" using pirated cd in a
hotel in Jaipur(Rajasthan). We all know that Selling ,buying or watching pirated cd is crime by indian law.
Politicians involved in watching movie were Rajasthan BJP chief "Rajendra Rathore", former Rajasthan C.M. "Vasundhra Raje" and many other M.L.A.s of B.J.P. Will any action be taken against them or not. Ram jeth malani: (senior
lawyer and former union law minister).said "people have the right to watch the
pirated cds if they are available in the market and by doing this they
are not doing any crime". Is this what we expect from the lawmakers. Its just shame that our lawmakers are saying such thing. FIR has been registered against them by the
producer of the film"PRAKASH JHA" . let us wait and see that any action is being taken
against them or not. But the question is that when politicians are
involved in such things how can we expect to end the piracy. Every
year hundreds of crores of money is lost due to piracy.

BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY

Midnight of december2,1984, people of bhopal are in their dreams unaware of any disaster coming their way. Their dream was interrupted in between and ended forever. In gas leak from union carbide plant about 15thousands people died and 5lakhs were injured and are still suffering even after 25 years. The judgement came after 25 years and the accused were given the punishment of 2 years. See just two years. Can anyone think about it. The case in which 15000 people lost their lives, lakhs of people were injured and the trial finished after 25 years punishing the verdict for merely 2 years. Is this some kind of joke or what. The main accused responsible for the death of atleast 15000 people, "Warren Anderson" is still not in custody and living a luxurious life in america. Who let him leave india is still a mystery. Some blame the then chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Arjun Singh who is not ready to utter a single word about the tragedy and how anderson flew out of india. Some other blame the then prime minister of india Rajiv Gandhi who can't be available for any comments or views on this tragedy as he is no more in this world. Politicians have started blaming each other and opposition parties as expected by them. There are many questions yet to be answered: how the man responsible for the death of thousands of people was allowed to flew out of india that too by a state owned private plane like he was the honoured guest. Who helped anderson flew out of india can anderson be brought back to india Can Anderson be punished for his wrong doings. When "Arjun Singh" will break his silence why arjun singh is not booked for questioning why there is no case against Arjun Singh. Is Arjun Singh above law or what. Current chief minister of the state told a news channel that he had written a letter to Arjun Singh asking him to reply how Anderson flew out of India. Will the C.M. Do same when any other person is accused of breaking the law. All there steps are just to fool people and divert their mind. Government has made a committee to resolve this case. Have anyone heard that any such committee was successful in resolving any case. After every tragedy in which biggies are involved and people want justice government orders a committe which takes 5 to 10 years or more to give the final report and the biggies again start shouting that the committee was biased and whatever they wish to. Finally everything goes on background and no one cares. People also get tired and think better to forget the past and get busy in the present.

MAOIST - the biggest threat

blast derails 13 coaches of train, 20 dead150 injured, 24
paramilitary soldiers die in a blast,  12 policemen are killed in a explosion, 11 security personnel are killed in attacks, troops are killed in a land mine attack, 30 people die in attack in a relief camp, rebels assassinate a federal MP and five other people.

Every other day we hear such news of terrorist activities all over India. Hundreds of people die and thousands of people are injured. Many people lose their family members, relatives, friends and also their assets like houses, crops, money etc. We make hue and cry after every attack and again involve in our daily life forgetting every pain they give. In this way life goes in. But there are many questions that eat our own mind: how long we will suffer
who is responsible
why do they attack us
is there any solution
what can we do
can't government do anything
will this continue till the dooms day

But there is no final and accurate answer to these auestions. No body is going to answer. Everyone is busy asking questions.
In India there are hundreds of groups or organisations involved in terrorist activities and are listed as terrorist groups of india by the government. Have a look on the table at right side of the page "Organizations listed as terrorist groups by India". By looking the list we cannot find any part of our motherland free from those terrorists. Their bases are at each and every part of the India. They are so much widespread that we cannot feel ourselves safe at any place. But among them MAOISTS are so much widespread that they have their bases across six states (Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Orissa). Whenever they wish they come in groups and attack our houses, public properties like railways, go on killing people, burn their houses, crops, rape women. Let us look at some major violent activities done by maoists:
  • February 20, 2010 : Maoists killed a village guard by slitting his throat.
  • February 18, 2010 : Twelve villagers were killed and 9 injured in indiscriminate firing by the Maoists in Jamui district of Bihar. The dead included three women and one child. Twenty five village houses were also burned down by the Maoists.

  • April 13, 2009: 10 paramilitary troops are killed in eastern Orissa.
  • February 23, 2009: Maoists kill a contractor, sets fire in police post at Govindpalli of Malkangiri.

  • In November 2007 reports emerged that the anti-SEZ movement in Nandigram in West Bengal had been infiltrated by Naxalites since February; the reports quoted unnamed intelligence sources. Recently, police found weapons belonging to Maoists near Nandigram.
  • In 2008, The Hindu newspaper reported that a Maoist killed a man and publicly cannibalized him in Malkangiri district of Orissa to terrorize villagers. The alleged incident occurred in Bandiguda on August 14, 2007.
  • On March 15, 2007 an attack happened in the rebel stronghold area of Dantewada, in Chhattisgarh state. Fifty-four persons, including 15 personnel of the Chhattishgarh Armed Force, were killed in an offensive by 300 to 350 CPI (Maoist) cadres on a police base camp in the Bastar region in the early hours of Thursday. The remaining victims were tribal youths of Salwa Judum, designated as Special Police Officers (SPOs) and roped in to combat the Maoists. Eleven person were injured. The attack, which lasted nearly two-and-a-half hours, was spearheaded by the "State Military Commission (Maoist)", consisting of about 100 armed naxalites.
  • On March 6, 2007 the CPI (Maoist) reportedly claimed responsibility for the Mahato assassination, but JMM members of the Jharkhand state cabinet, including the Chief Minister, subsequently announced that a state police investigation is under way into the authenticity of this claim. Police reportedly believe that political rivals of Mahato, including organized criminal groups, may have been behind the assassination.
  • On March 5, 2007 Maoist shot dead a local Congress leader (Prakash, a member of the local Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP)) in Andhra Pradesh while he was inspecting a road construction project in Mahabubnagar district.
  • On March 4, 2007 Maoist shot dead a member of the parliament (Sunil Mahato) of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) party from Jharkhand state.
  • On December 2, 2006 the BBC reported that at least 14 Indian policemen had been killed by Maoists in a landmine ambush near the town of Bokaro, 80 miles from Ranchi, the capital of the State of Jharkhand.
  • On October 18, 2006 women belonging to the Maoist guerrilla forces blasted four government buildings in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. On the day before, over a dozen armed cadres of the group, with support from male colleagues, blocked traffic on the Antagarh-Koylibera Road in the Kanker district, near the city of Raipur. They also detonated explosives inside four buildings, including two schools, in Kanker. This incident occurred two days after a major leader of the party's operations in Orissa and Andhra Pradesh, Kone Kedandam, surrendered to authorities in the town of Srikakulam.
  • On July 16, 2006 the Maoists attacked a relief camp in the Dantewada district where several villagers were kidnapped. The death toll was 29.

They also detonated several bombs in the town. A prison guard was also reported killed.
  • In August 2005 Maoists kidnapped from the Dantewada district of the state of Chhattisgarh. This fiollows violent incidents in 2004 in the same region when 50 policemen and about 300 villagers were killed in the Dantewada district and over 50,000 villagers were staying in relief camps out of fear from Maoists.
  • In February 2005 the CPI (Maoist) killed 7 policemen, a civilian and injured many more during a mass attack on a school building in Venkatammanahalli village, Pavgada, Tumkur, Karnataka. On August 17, 2005, the government of Andhra Pradesh outlawed the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and various mass organizations close to it, and began to arrest suspected members and sympathizers days afterwards. A nice thought to share‏ - what is love

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly Gentleman in his 80s
arrived to have stitches removed from his Thumb.

He said he was in a hurry, as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be
over an hour before someone would be able to see him.

I saw him looking at his Watch, and decided, since I was not busy with
another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, I found it was well healed, so I talked to one of the Doctors,
got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and re dress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's
appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.

The Gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the Nursing home to
eat Breakfast with his Wife.

I inquired as to her health; he told me that she had been there for a
while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.

He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not
recognized him in Five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even
though she doesn't know who you are'?

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, ''She doesn't know me, but I
still know who she is.'

I had to hold back tears as he left. I had goose bumps on my arms and thought,

'That is the kind of love I want in my life'.

True love is neither Physical nor Romantic.

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will
not be.
With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one
that comes along that has an important

message. This one I thought I could share with you.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the best of everything they have.
I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did.

Touching story. - Must Read

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time,
What is this?"
At this time some ex-press ion of irritation was felt in the Son's tone
when he said to his Father with a rebuff.
 "It's a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father,
"Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'.
Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page.
When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window.
My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times.
I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent
child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had
felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
So..
If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud,
"I want to see my parents happy forever.
They have cared for me ever since I was a little child.
They have always showered their selfless love on me.
They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".
Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.

introduction

hello everyone, i would like to share my views on different topics which come across us in our daily life from our own experience or or any other medium like from friends, relatives, media, banners, notes etc.

today in this modern world we cant live life like "mast raho masti me aag lage basti me". we have to come out and look forward to whats going in and around us. we cant just sit at home and watch everything happening without our will. we should always respond to the actions done in our society either against us or anyone else. we have to live together and make a new society with everyone having good relationship with each other and live in peace and harmony. we cant just sit and watch wrong deeds of some ill people doing wrong to us or our people. so my dear friends i would like you all to react and take action against any wrong deeds by anyone. we can even share our thoughts regarding all this and write about anything either good or bad going on in our society. thank you..........
